Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's video model, introduced on July 31, 2026. It makes up to 30 seconds in one pass, twice Seedance 2.0's 15, and takes up to 30 reference images.

On RefVid it turns 1 to 10 photos of a product, a pet or an illustrated character into a 4- to 30-second clip at 720p or 1080p, with sound on or off. It refuses photos of real-looking people. The box above is already set to Seedance 2.5.

Seedance 2.5 reference to video for products

  • On RefVid, Seedance 2.5 refuses photos of real-looking people before the clip runs, and the credits come back like any failure. That makes it a model for products, pets, toys and illustrated characters. The photos you add are saved as one subject, so every clip starts from the same product.
  • Give it 3 to 5 photos of the product from different angles on a plain background, including a close-up of the label. Then write the scene and the camera, for example: "The shoe lands on wet pavement in slow motion, water splashes up, the camera tracks low beside it."

Make a Seedance 2.5 video in three steps

  • Add 1 to 10 photos of your product in the box at the top of this page, or start from a product template in the row above it. The box is already set to Seedance 2.5 and 720p.
  • Write what should happen in a sentence or two. Settings changes the length (4 to 30 seconds), the shape (16:9, 9:16 or 1:1), 1080p and sound.
  • Press Generate. If you are not signed in, you sign in first. A new account's free credits do not cover a Seedance 2.5 clip; the box says so before anything runs and offers what fits.

What a Seedance 2.5 clip costs on RefVid

  • Every clip is priced in credits per second, as in the table above, with sound at the same price, and the studio shows the total before anything runs. Single videos do not run on Seedance 2.5, so it uses credits from a one-time pack, from $9.90, or a monthly plan, from $10. A failed or refused clip refunds its credits automatically.

Seedance 2.5 next to every RefVid model: measured clips, wait and cost

  • These numbers are our own, not the vendor's: every clip people outside our team started on RefVid from October 27 – November 6, 2026, split by the model they picked, with how many finished and the median wait from the start of the generation to the finished clip. Next to them are each model's photo limit, clip length and what a 5-second clip costs today, so Seedance 2.5 can be read against the other models in one table.
  • The finished share and the wait are shown only where a model had at least 20 finished or failed clips in the period; the models added most recently have fewer so far. A failed clip costs nothing: its credits go back to the account. The table follows the newest snapshot of our usage statistics.

Photos and clip length are RefVid's settings for each model. Credits are for a 5-second clip at the model's standard resolution, without sound unless the model always adds it (Kling 4); the cost uses the $9.90 credit pack.

When another model fits better

  • For a person, pick Kling 4, Wan 3.0 or Gemini Omni Flash, which take photos of real-looking people. For a long product clip at a lower price per second, Wan 3.0 and Kling 4 also reach 30 seconds. Your saved product works with every model, so you can compare the same photos on two of them.
