The service

RefVid lets you save reference images of a character or product and generate videos that use them. Videos are produced by third-party AI models (currently Kling 3.0 Omni through fal.ai). RefVid is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kuaishou, Google, ByteDance, MiniMax, OpenAI or any other model provider.

AI output varies. We do not guarantee that a video will match your references or prompt exactly, or that a particular model will remain available. We may change, add or retire models and features.

Your account

You need an account to generate videos. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

One person or organisation per free signup grant. Creating multiple accounts to collect free credits is not allowed and may lead to removal of those accounts and their credits.

Your content and rights

You keep the rights you have in the images you upload and, as between you and RefVid, in the videos you generate, subject to the terms of the underlying model providers and applicable law.

You give RefVid a limited licence to store, process and transmit your uploads and outputs to the model providers only as needed to run the service. We do not use your content to train models and do not show it publicly unless you explicitly opt in (for example by ticking “RefVid may show this video” on a rating); you can withdraw that consent at any time.

You must have the right to every image you upload. Only upload images of yourself, of people who have given you permission, or of characters and products you own or are licensed to use.

Acceptable use

Do not use RefVid to create: sexual content involving minors (reported to authorities); sexual or intimate content of a real person without their consent; content that impersonates or deceives about a real person, including public figures and politicians; content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property; harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence or hate; or anything illegal where you or the depicted people are.

Label realistic synthetic videos as AI-generated where the platform you publish on, or the law (for example the EU AI Act), requires it.

We may refuse prompts, remove content, suspend accounts or report illegal content when these rules are broken. Credits spent on content that breaks these rules are not refunded.

Credits, plans and payment

Generating videos uses credits, priced by video length and shown before you generate. Credits come from the signup grant, credit packs or subscription plans. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include or add VAT as displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.

If a generation fails, the credits held for it are returned automatically.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid RefVid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
