How RefVid pricing works: credits, per-second rates and worked examples
RefVid charges in credits: each model has a rate in credits per second, a clip costs that rate times its length, and you see the total before you generate. A 5-second 720p clip costs 290 credits on Kling 4 or 155 on Kling 3.0 Omni. Credits come from the free signup grant, a monthly plan from $10 or a one-time pack from $9.90, or you pay for one video from $2.99. Credits don't expire, and a failed video gives them back.

How do AI video credits work on RefVid?
A credit is the unit you spend on RefVid. Each model has a rate in credits per second of video, and a clip costs that rate times its length, any whole number of seconds from 3 to 15. The studio shows the total before you generate, so there is no bill to work out afterwards.
Credits are held when a generation starts and settled only when the video is ready. If it fails, the held credits go straight back to your balance; nothing is taken for a video you don't get.
Rates follow what each model costs to run: Kling 4 costs more per second than Kling 3.0 Omni, and 1080p costs more than 720p. Saving characters and products, and downloading your videos, costs nothing.
Credits per second on each model
Kling 4 is the default and makes sound in every clip at no extra cost: 58 credits per second at 720p and 86 at 1080p. Kling 3.0 Omni is the lower-cost model: 31 credits per second at 720p without sound and 41 with sound, or 41 and 51 at 1080p.
Images are priced apart from video. Every account gets five free images, scene stills or extra angles of a subject; after those, an image costs 11 credits, and the studio asks before spending them.

Plans, packs and single videos
Plans give a fixed number of credits every month, on monthly and yearly billing alike; yearly costs twelve months less 20%. Each month's credits add to your balance and stay there. Packs are one-time top-ups, with or without a plan, and pack credits never expire.
A single video is for one clip without a plan or a pack: you set the clip up in the studio and pay for it there, by length, with sound, 1080p and up to 3 shots included. Prices are in US dollars; VAT is included or added as shown at checkout.

Free credits on sign-up, and why they run on Kling 3.0 Omni
Every new account gets 100 credits, enough for one 3-second, 720p clip without sound on Kling 3.0 Omni, which uses 93; the 7 left over stay in your balance. That is why the free clip runs on Kling 3.0 Omni: the shortest Kling 4 clip costs 174 credits, more than the grant.
Signing up needs no card, and the grant is one per person. The whole site makes at most 25 free clips a day; when they are gone, the studio shows a countdown to midnight UTC. A friend who signs up through your referral link gets 100 extra credits, and you get 300 when they first pay for anything.
AI video generator pricing, worked out for real projects
In dollars: on the Basic plan a credit costs half a cent, so a 5-second 720p clip is about $1.45 on Kling 4 and $0.78 on Kling 3.0 Omni. In a Small pack a credit costs about 0.66 cents, and the same clips are about $1.91 and $1.02. Yearly Basic brings a credit down to 0.4 cents.
A product series of ten 5-second Kling 4 clips at 720p uses 2,900 credits: one month of Pro (4,000 credits, $20) covers it with 1,100 to spare. Drafting first is cheaper: a 3-second Kling 3.0 Omni test costs 93 credits, so a Small pack makes 16 of them before you commit to a final cut.
A clip you would make only once, such as a 10-second video with sound in 1080p, is simplest as a single video at $4.99, with no plan or pack left over.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does a RefVid video cost?
- A 5-second 720p clip costs 290 credits on Kling 4, sound included, or 155 on Kling 3.0 Omni without sound. On the Basic plan that is about $1.45 or $0.78. Without a plan or pack, one video costs $2.99 up to 5 seconds, $4.99 up to 10 and $6.99 up to 15.
- Are RefVid's AI video generator credits the same as Kling credits?
- No. RefVid credits are RefVid's own unit, bought from RefVid and spent only on RefVid. They are not Kling app credits, and credits from Kling's own app can't be used on RefVid.
- Do RefVid credits expire?
- No. Each month's plan credits add to your balance and stay there, and pack credits never expire.
- Why does the free clip use Kling 3.0 Omni?
- The 100 free credits pay for one 3-second, 720p clip on Kling 3.0 Omni, which costs 93 credits. The shortest Kling 4 clip costs 174, more than the grant. Paid clips run on Kling 4 by default.
- Do sound and 1080p cost extra?
- On Kling 4, sound is always included: 58 credits per second at 720p and 86 at 1080p. On Kling 3.0 Omni, 720p costs 31 credits per second without sound and 41 with it; 1080p costs 41 without and 51 with. A single video includes both.
- What happens to my credits if a video fails?
- They come back. RefVid holds the credits when a generation starts and returns them to your balance automatically if it fails; only finished videos use credits.
