Is RefVid legit? What it is, who runs it and how paying works
Yes, RefVid is a legitimate, working AI video service: you upload a few photos of a character or product, and it makes videos on Kling 4 or Kling 3.0 Omni that keep that subject. Payment goes through Stripe, a failed video gives its credits back automatically, no video carries a watermark, and the rules are public in the terms, privacy policy and refund policy. Each answer below names the page that states it, and a free clip lets you check the output before paying.

Three scenes, the same person
What RefVid is
RefVid is a web app for AI video in which the subject stays the same. You save a person, a pet, a mascot or a product once from 1 to 5 photos, and every video after that uses them, so the face, outfit or label does not change from clip to clip. You write the scene; the photos supply who or what is in it.
The videos themselves are made by third-party AI models, currently Kling 4 and Kling 3.0 Omni through fal.ai, as the terms of service state. RefVid adds the parts around the model: saved subjects, scene stills before you spend a clip, up to 3 subjects in one shot, up to 3 shots in one clip, and continuing a clip with the next shot.
Clips run from 3 to 15 seconds in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. You can see real output before signing up: the gallery lists each clip with the reference photos and the prompt that made it.
Who runs RefVid and how to reach it
RefVid is run from Ireland. Its privacy policy names RefVid, based in Ireland, as the controller of your data under the EU GDPR, and its terms are governed by Irish law, without taking away the mandatory consumer protection of the country you live in.
Questions about an account, a payment or a refund go to hello@refvid.com, the address all three policies give. Refund requests are made from the email address of your account. You can also delete your account yourself on the Account page: your content is deleted at once, and stored files are gone within 30 days.
How payment works
Card payments go through Stripe's checkout, and RefVid never sees or stores your card details. You choose between a plan with new credits every month, a one-time credit pack, or a single video bought in the studio for the clip you have set up. The price of a clip is shown before you generate it.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your account; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Credits don't expire: each month's plan credits add to your balance, and pack credits never expire.
Refunds and failed videos
A video that fails to generate costs nothing: credits are held when a generation starts and returned to your balance automatically if it fails, without contacting anyone. Only a finished video uses credits.
Money is refunded on request by email. Unused credit packs are refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, or the unused share if you have spent some. A first plan payment is refunded in full within 14 days if you have used less than 10% of its credits. Renewals are not refunded, except a renewal you did not intend, if you write within 7 days and have not used its credits.
AI video generator, no watermark: what you download
No RefVid video carries a watermark, free or paid: you download the MP4 as the model made it, ready to post. That includes the free clip a new account gets.
You keep the rights you have in the photos you upload and, as between you and RefVid, in the videos you make, subject to the model providers' terms and the law. RefVid does not use your content to train AI models, does not sell personal data, and shows one of your videos on the site only if you opt in, which you can withdraw at any time.
Is this AI video generator legit enough to pay for? Test it free
The surest check is a clip of your own subject. A new account gets 100 credits, enough for one 3-second, 720p clip on Kling 3.0 Omni from your own photos, plus five free images: scene stills or extra angles. Signing up takes an email address or a Google account, and no card is asked for until you buy something.
The free clip runs on Kling 3.0 Omni, the lower-cost model; paid clips run on Kling 4 by default, with sound in every clip. The whole site makes at most 25 free clips a day, and when they are gone, the studio shows a countdown to midnight UTC, when they come back.
